Bug Pinning with Entomologist

We are so excited to have AustinJones from the U of A Entomology department back this summer! This year, hewill lead us in bug pinning party.  AustinJones will bring some bugs and pinning supplies. The librarywill also be providing size 2 pins.

You are invited to bringyour own bugs. All bugs being pinned should be caught and euthanized. Placecollected bugs in the freezer (and keep them there until pinning day.) or putthem in alcohol (ethanol or isopropol). Insects that die and are left out ofthe freezer or alcohol can become dry, brittle, and extremely difficult to pin.
